Hi! I'm Roussa, a Zakynthos-based wedding celebrant writing and performing beautiful, personalized ceremonies for modern, fun-loving couples seeking unforgettable moments in Greece.
My story begins in Montreal, Canada, where I was raised with two burning passions: acting (which later became teaching) and Greece! Growing up, I was always drawn to the stage, participating in every drama club opportunity that came my way. Simultaneously, I held a deep love for Greece, visiting my parents' hometown whenever possible—but always wanting more.
Then came the pivotal moment that changed everything. During one of those magical Greek summer nights in 1993, I experienced love at first sight! The connection was so intense that on July 30th 2000 (7 years later!) , I married my one true love, Sakis. Together, we built Villa Shangri-La Zakynthos, a retreat that has welcomed countless couples celebrating their own love stories.
It was here, surrounded by love and celebration, that my calling as a celebrant was born. After hearing numerous couples tell me I should have been their celebrant, I realized I had something special to offer—authentic ceremonies filled with Greek "filoxenia," the ancient concept of hospitality and generosity shown to those far from home.
